Stainless steel sheets, plates, pipes and bars

Stainless steel is chosen for corrosion resistance, hygiene and appearance in food processing, water treatment, desalination, oil and gas, architecture and kitchens. Picking the right grade for chloride exposure matters a great deal in Saudi Arabia's coastal and industrial environments.

Overview

We take enquiries for austenitic, ferritic and duplex grades across flat, long and tubular products, with finishes and certification to suit the application.

Available forms

  • Sheets and coils
  • Plates
  • Seamless and welded pipes
  • Ornamental and mechanical tubes
  • Round, flat and angle bars

Selection guidance

How to specify stainless steel

01

304 vs 316 near the sea

316/316L contains molybdenum and resists chloride pitting far better than 304. For coastal, splash-zone or saline-water exposure, 316L or duplex is usually the safer choice.

02

Use L grades for welding

Low-carbon 304L and 316L reduce sensitisation and intergranular corrosion at welds.

03

Protect the surface

Carbon steel contamination causes rust spots on stainless. Store and fabricate stainless separately and passivate after welding.

Documents to request

EN 10204 3.1 certificate · PMI (positive material identification) on request · Pickling and passivation record for fabricated items

Stainless Steel: FAQs

Is 316 stainless steel worth the extra cost?
In chloride environments such as coastal sites, pools and desalination, yes. The molybdenum in 316 significantly improves pitting resistance compared with 304.
Why does stainless steel rust?
Usually because of surface contamination from carbon steel particles, chloride deposits, or using a grade that is too low for the environment. Correct grade selection, cleaning and passivation prevent most problems.
What does a 2B finish mean?
2B is a smooth, moderately reflective cold-rolled finish and the most common general-purpose sheet finish.
